1. A Philateic Deposit Account may be opened with a minimum deposit of an amount in foreign currency equivalent to Rs:1000/- by remittance by cheque or bank draft enchashable in India
and made payable to "Director (Philately), Philatelic Bureau, Mumbai G.P.O. - 400001, Mumbai, India". In case the actual amount of cheque or bank draft realized in Indian currency is less than the prescribed amount of Rs: 1000/- on account of
fluctuation in the rate of exchange, the depositor's account would be debited with the amount of the difference between Rs:1000/- and the amount acually realized. The draft may be drawn on one of the following banks.
- American Express International Banking corporation, Mumbai - 400 001
- Bank Of America, Mumbai - 400 001
- British Nationale de Paris, Mumbai - 400 001
- First National city Bank, Mumbai - 400 021
- Mercantile Bank Ltd., Mumbai - 400 023
- Mitsui Bank Ltd., Mumbai - 400 001
- Grindlays Bank Ltd., Mumbai - 400 023
2. Minimum order for each occassion may not be less than an amount equivalent to Rs: 50/-. The items will be despatched by airmail registered post. The actual
postage for despatch will be debited to the account. The packing charges at teh rate of 2% of the order (Minimum Rs:5/-) will be levied.
3. With each despatch, a statement indicating the value of the supplies made (including the postage and the packing charges) and the balance at credit will be sent.
The deposit should be replenished by a sum of not less than an amount equivalent to Rs: 1000/-. The account will become inoperative when the balance falls below value of a single order
plus postage and packing charges. The account will be brought into operation again only if a fresh deposit of minimum amount is made.
4. The Philatelic Bureau will make every reasonable effor to supply the requirements so far as stock permits.
5. To open a Philatelic Deposit Account on-line in Mumbai Philatelic Bureau from abroad, just fill up the form below and send us the initial subscription
amount either by Cheque or Demand Draft as mentioned in point 1.Fields marked with (*) are
mandatory fields. The registration process consist of filling up 2 forms. (1)The Application form and (2) The Standing order form. When
you have finished filling up the application form, click on the 'Next' button to bring up the Standing order form.
